EML was a blog I started just for the fun of exploring music, and seeing what I could analyze from each song. Started in May 2011 I noticed I had always had so much to say about each song whenever I would talk about music with friends. I found this a good way to explore this interest and a solid way to record everything I might ever think about the music I listen to. So how does this blog actually work? Simple, you see. I will put a song up I feel like sharing, let you give it a listen, then explain it, maybe give any history I can. Then I just talk about it, it was something I simply enjoyed.
My goal has simply become to put up songs for those who may have not heard a song in the first place, but of course some songs are quite famous. So I just started to talk about the songs, the emotions it pulls from me, the thoughts it gives me, and the style of it, through the lyrics, production, or maybe where it stands in the artist's/genre's library.
To this very second the project still holds the same purpose. EML serves as my outlet for my thoughts on music, and if by chance you happen to like the blog and start to enjoy reading the posts, or just happen to like the music, that is even better.
I hope to provide good ways for you to reach out for more music, I try to include all of those that are included in a song, mentioning samples, so that you may hunt for the original music with ease! I also make sure to try and provide helpful links in case you are looking for more music of that style. Generally, it is just about me sharing all the good of music I can. The genres I cover, well almost entirely hip-hop. But I also enjoy some rock, soul, RnB, alternative, and some good ol' easy listening. It is really about what song I hope to share.

- EML Update: I will give you an update on how I am doing musically. What I am listening to, and what I hope to do for the blog in time to come.
- Get to Know: An artist will be introduced, I will show you what they are about, cool projects they have, and how you can keep up with everything to do. Usually involves links galore, giving you lots of cool stuff to look at!
- Album Reviews: These are much simpler than full album reviews. There will be a nice blurb about the album itself and what I recommend.
- Mix Review: Same as above, I'll look at how a mix is put together and put links up. Just in case you want a collection of songs instead of searching one by one.
- Full Album Reviews: I will go much deeper into the album, with an intro and a closing to conclude my thoughts. Along the way I might do other posts on EML while in the midst of being reviewed. I try to review all tracks, but sometimes I only like so many, and I'll review a majority of the album at its least.
