Here I will place the links that have helped me find some great music. This will consist of pages that either are great hosts for lots of obscure music, or whether the site hosts a link that has a lot of music! Basically they will run from places like Bandcamp, to say a site where some guy put up 100 unreleased 9th Wonder instrumentals, along those lines. I'll update this as I go.
Hosting Sites for Music: These should be straightforward, and you might already use all of them. Sites where a lot of music is posted, that simple!
http://bandcamp.com/ - Find new artists and pick up some music, all published works in one convenient place!
http://www.last.fm/ - Amazing sight! People can get involved as they want to on this sight, keeping up to date. With journals that host a wealth of information, or some personal radio, last.fm is a great way to step up your music game!
http://soundcloud.com/ - Another easy way to follow your artists, keeping track of each other, saving playlists of your favorites, and hearing feedback on your own songs as well.
http://www.datpiff.com/ - You know what it is! #1 in mix-tape hosting. Whether finding the newest vibes that everyone's playing, or to go find some sweet rarities you didn't know existed.
http://www.pandora.com/ - This one is most well known, and I guarantee you have already heard of this. But it helps you to find similar music you already love! The Music Genome Project, get going!
Shortly I'll be adding some hot links that gave me some of the illest, obscure music ever!
9th Wonder:
http://hiphophypedog.blogspot.com/2009/12/9th-wonder-instrumentals.html - This is how it all started. This gives you 144 instrumentals, if I knew how to provide download I would give you guys a link to like 50 more I have collected one at a time. But this will keep you busy for now.
http://www.mediafire.com/?4g4aaul5c130439 - You guys better like this one. 50 Instrumentals I organized from Youtube, finally put it together and uploaded it. Tell if anything is wrong with the file. Have fun with this one! I should have more to add in another file, sometime in the future!
Nas:
http://www.datpiff.com/Nas-UnreleasedRemixesCollaborations-mixtape.157294.html - This one is a bunch of unreleased, featured, and remixed work from the almighty Nas. I have several of these by now, and this tape is still quite good. Gives you a good range of sick tracks you ain't never heard of!
http://www.datpiff.com/Nas-Nas-Unreleased-Tape-mixtape.108210.html - More unreleased, this one isn't nearly as good. I only say this because some tracks really should be left unreleased, but the quality is low, and the DJs are annoying as hell, however I am working to get some higher versions from some very helpful people. But there are a lot of good songs as well!
http://www.last.fm/group/Nas+Discography+with+Unreleased+Material - This was an incredible find! It doesn't give direct downloads, but what it does? A history of arguably the best rapper alive, with all released, remixed, and most importantly, unreleased songs. A must read from me! Plenty of interesting articles and music you will be sure to be lost in for the next forever!
Disko Dave:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=155516&content=music- The only solid place where you can listen to most of his beats that are on the web. Hope I find more, pretty addicted after that "A Little Help" joint.
The Notorious B.I.G.:
http://www.datpiff.com/The-Notorious-BIG-Biggie-Smalls-Demo-Tape-mixtape.5575.html - With his career so short, you want to get as much Biggie material as possible. This demo tape is just a little step further. While really the only nice track "Another Rough One" you may like the other ones, but it is all low quality and DJed, which kinda sucks. But it is better than nothing.
